This class will be a gentle but challenging entrance into the workshop setting for poets who have had little or no experience in a Master-level poetry workshop. We will focus on some lingo, as well as traditional and nontraditional practices in critique for our own work and for others’. Students will bring in their poems to be workshopped, and are expected to comment on one another’s poems–written and in-class. We’ll focus on our own poems for the most part, but we’ll also have a take-home packet and writing prompt workbook of inspiring and engaging poetry that is crucial to living the writer’s life.
All students will get a coupon for 10% off a future RSH Workshop!
