This 2-session class is dedicated to supporting the authors your press will publish in both marketing and editorial terms. The marketing session will focus on how to bring attention to new work with a small (possibly nonexistent) budget, the logistics of scheduling readings, events at literary conferences, and if and when to work with a distributor. The editorial session will focus on the soft skills needed on the journey of turning an accepted manuscript into a published book. Real-life case studies will be shared throughout.
